Aquis Exchange is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer responsible for customer on-boarding and general support as well as maintenance upgrades and projects. The ideal candidate will be part of a team responsible for managing the Aquis network environment including day to day support, client onboarding and support as well as technical upgrade projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Networking concepts and protocols, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric attitude. You will work closely with highly technical internal teams and end-users to ensure the smooth operation of the Aquis systems. This is a key role with huge scope to learn new skills.
• Monitor and support live exchange platforms during operational hours.
• Work closely with Aquis exchange clients from initial onboarding to on-going support and upgrades.
• Participate in a support rota of early/late shifts supporting exchange hours 7am – 6.30pm responding to any operational issues. Additionally, this role requires occasional evening or weekend work to deliver planned maintenance.
• Full lifecycle network upgrade projects from initial conception, racking/patching, configuration, to live infrastructure / support documentation.
• Manage and support network (Cisco / Arista) and security infrastructure (FW’s, VPNs and other security infrastructure).
• Raise and implement network or firewall changes based on tickets and requests from internal teams or external clients.
• Manage relationships and work with vendors to escalate issues when appropriate.
• Assist in the administration of logging and alerting services (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc).
• Ensure that all policies, procedures, and documentation are kept up to date.
• 4+ years’ experience in a network support / engineering role, having achieved relevant qualifications, e.g. CCNP or similar.
• Strong proficiency in the following areas:
• Routing and switching technologies (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
• Access control list (ACLs)
• VXLAN EVPN underlay/overlay architectures
• Network monitoring and observability tools e.g., Nagios or SolarWinds
• VPNs and Firewalls (ideally on Fortinet or similar appliances)
• Packet capture and analysis
• Cisco / Arista network hardware
• IP Multicasting experience (PIM, MSDP, IGMP) highly desirable though training will be provided.
• Experience with cloud providers or virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware) desirable
• Experience working with low latency technologies/networks a strong advantage
• Linux administration skills are a bonus, with potential to collaborate with the Linux SA team on crossover projects and support tasks.

The primary responsibilities of the Operations Analyst will be maintaining and running the Aquis and Aquis client exchange platforms.

Aquis Exchange is seeking a highly motivated Linux System Administrator to join our Managed Services team working in the Infrastructure department. In this role, you will work exclusively on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Aquis Technology solutions for our clients. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and successful operation of our technology platforms, while collaborating closely with experienced Linux engineers and client technical teams. This position offers significant opportunities to develop new skills, deepen your expertise in enterprise-grade Linux environments, and contribute directly to the success of Aquis Technology deployments.
- Contribute to the Managed Service team, working alongside experienced Linux System Administrators to deploy, operate, and support Aquis Exchange Technology platforms.
- Support Aquis Exchange Technology clients throughout the full implementation lifecycle, including:
- Reviewing and contributing to initial technical specifications and RFP responses.
- Delivering installation, configuration, knowledge transfer, and on site support activities.
- Integrating Aquis solutions with clients’ existing infrastructure by collaborating closely with client infrastructure teams, as well as internal project and development teams. - Triage and diagnose client-reported issues, analysing logs, system behaviour, and configuration states to identify root causes and provide timely, accurate resolutions.

- 8+ years of system administration experience in modern Red Hat–based environments (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux), supporting production-grade systems.
- Strong proficiency in Bash scripting, with the ability to design, optimise, and debug complex automation and operational tooling.
- Extensive hands-on experience engineering, deploying and operating RHEL-based platforms, including provisioning, patching, package management, security hardening, and bare metal deployments.
- Strong experience with build and CI/CD tooling, with particular emphasis on Git-based version control and workflow management.

Join the Aquis Technologies sales team to build, manage and engage with prospective and existing clients for technology licensing opportunities for the exchange technology infrastructure and services provided by Aquis Technologies and SIX Group associated firms.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and partners as part of an account management function.
- Build up the target pipeline, initiate contact with leads/prospects and work to move them through the sales stages, qualifying and reporting on all opportunities in a timely and proactive manner.

Excellent rapport building skills.
Good understanding of securities trading with a preference for regulated products such as cash equities, bonds and derivatives.
Good knowledge of market structure including lit vs. dark trading, CLOB, auctions and any general knowledge on the landscape of European trading in the MiFID 2 world would be advantageous.
Experience in fostering and maintaining client relationships.
Demonstrable track record of selling and working alongside technical implementation teams to deliver technology solutions into financial services institutions.
Diligent about administrative tracking tasks such as Salesforce usage.
Dynamic personality comfortable with talking to industry participants whether investment banks, proprietary trading firms or other exchanges across a range of roles including technical, management and executive.

In this role you will work with the Product team, Infrastructure team, and QA team, to produce highly maintainable, efficient, and highly reliable code. Your goal will be to develop software, including webapps and desktop, which handle large amount data to trade on, monitor, and control a highly efficient technology used by several markets around the world, including ourselves.
• Designs, codes, tests, integrates, and documents scalable front-end applications and APIs.
• Collaborates with UX designers to translate wireframes and mock-ups into high-quality, responsive applications.
• Provides technical leadership to more junior employees and other teams.
• Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal review of software components and systems.
• Apply and champion the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products.
• Keep abreast of technology trends and champion new ideas and process improvements.
• 5+ years development experience in frontend development, ideally with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with React.
• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and web fundamentals (accessibility, security, performance, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility etc.).
• Experience designing and developing data driven applications (ideally, but not necessarily, for finance/trading use cases).
• Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Comfortable developing on WSL/Linux.
• Python development knowledge is a plus; you will need to work with Python APIs.
• Good understanding of version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of capital markets technologies, protocols, and standards will help but not mandatory.
• Understanding of cloud technology, and Infrastructure as Code is also a plus.
• Most importantly, a drive to solve complex technological problems with a great team of talented developers.
