Aquis Exchange is looking to hire an Associate Systems Administrator to maintain the day-to-day operational resilience of our exchange platforms.
- Monitor and support live exchange platforms during operational hours.
- Participate in a support rota of early, late, and flexible day shifts covering exchange hours 7am – 6.30pm, providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support across the platform..
- Availability for out of hours changes will be required on occasion, including evenings and weekends, for implementation of changes and datacentre visits for hardware related tasks. Compensation is provided by means of TOIL or Overtime.
- Responsible for logging, categorising, and prioritising IT and security alerts to resolution, or triaging and escalating as necessary.
- Manage and respond to queries and tickets sent to the team from both internal teams and external clients.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based servers and systems, from physical hardware installations to virtual machines.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date, including OS upgrades, application updates, and remediation of annual Penetration Testing findings.
- Assist with the onboarding of new platforms and provide final signoff of technical architecture.
- Administer logging and alerting services (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc), including creation and amendment of rules and providing documentation on monitoring standards.
- Support technical teams with Linux expertise during project implementation as required.
- Take ownership of projects from coordination through to development and deployment.
- Identify where processes can be improved and highlight where automation improvements can be made.
- Ensure that all policies, procedures, and documentation are kept up to date.
- Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on best practices, developing technical knowledge through training.
- 5+ years recent experience working in a Red Hat Linux environment troubleshooting Linux servers and applications. RedHat/Rocky Linux preferable but not essential.
- RHCSA or similar is advantageous but not required.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including file system management, permissions, system logs, services, performance monitoring, security hardening, and systems lifecycle.
- Experience monitoring and optimising system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware, OpenShift).
- Knowledge and experience of application delivery technologies such as TCP/IP, LAN networking, DNS, HTTP(S), Web Sockets, and SFTP.
- Prior experience using a ticketing system within a helpdesk environment.
- Experience using and/or administering IT monitoring systems such as Nagios or SolarWinds.
- Experience with a version control system such as GitLab required.
- Bash scripting on Linux systems required.
- Basic working knowledge of AWS desirable but not essential.
- SQL or similar database knowledge desirable.

The primary responsibility of the market surveillance regulatory department of Aquis Exchange is to carry out real-time and T+1 market surveillance to ensure the maintenance of an orderly market and compliance of all regulatory requirements in traded equity securities. The Surveillance Analyst will work as part of a team to supervise market activity, utilising various methodologies including electronic monitoring tools and alerts, and liaising with external customers and regulatory bodies. The Surveillance Analyst will also assist in the continued design and development of the in-house built market surveillance system. They will also assist in the supervision of Aquis surveillance clients in other asset classes.
- Surveillance of client activity on Aquis Exchange platforms.
- Assist in the development of Surveillance system enhancements and subsequent testing.
- Identifying issues with Surveillance systems and raising with development.

- Well-versed in Emergency Business Continuity Procedures (EBCP), in the event of an outage, and providing incident reports.

The primary responsibilities of the Operations Analyst will be maintaining and running the Aquis and Aquis client exchange platforms.
- Responsible, along with other operations analysts, for the day-to-day management of the exchange platforms.

The Product and Project Management team sits at the crossroads of most departments in the company, acting as the central coordination group touching development, sales/client management, operations, surveillance, quality assurance and senior management.
- Requirements gathering – comprehensive scoping of stakeholder needs, collaborating closely with our development teams to translate these requirements and implement an engineering solution.

- Experience as a business analyst, with a demonstrated ability to build out requirements for trading technology solutions in electronic traded asset classes, preferably with a trading background in equity trading.
- Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

- A proven track record of delivering multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work.

Join the Aquis Technologies sales team to build, manage and engage with prospective and existing clients for technology licensing opportunities for the exchange technology infrastructure and services provided by Aquis Technologies and SIX Group associated firms.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and partners as part of an account management function.

The primary responsibilities of the Support Analyst will be maintaining, and running the Aquis and Aquis client exchange platforms.
• Responsible, along with other operational team members, for the day-to-day running and maintenance of the Aquis platforms.
• Providing first line support, answering phone calls and monitoring help desk systems, dealing with basic issues and escalating other calls to the appropriate person.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
• Performing troubleshooting and collection of information for effective issue diagnosis and internal escalation
• Maintain security reference data for the admissions/withdrawals/amends/edits of securities across all platforms.
• Maintain and enhance knowledge base and documentation.
• Work with other departments (Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure and Sales) to ensure appropriately monitored live operations of all platforms
• Raise and deploy changes to support the day to day running of multiple exchange platforms.
• Compile outage reports for any production outages which occur on the operated platforms once the outage has been rectified

Essential
• Degree level qualification and/or 2 years of experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products

Aquis Exchange is looking to hire a 1st line support analyst. The prospective candidate will provide 1st line desktop support across a variety of systems with an escalation path to a highly technical desktop and infrastructure team. This role requires to be onsite 4 days a week in our London office participating in a support rota covering 8am – 6pm, in addition you may be required to work outside of these hours on an ad-hoc basis. This is a key role with huge scope to learn new skills and progress.
- 1st line desktop, voice and remote access support across Aquis offices and remote users.
- Setup new IT equipment for users, including laptops, desktops, telephones, and mobile phones.
- Managing users and groups within Active Directory.
- Responsible for implementing approved procedures (change control, joiners/leavers, etc.)
- Support and maintain Microsoft Teams AV equipment.
- Prepare and maintain up to date documentation.
- Manage relationships and work with vendors to escalate issues when appropriate.
- Preferred background in IT through college or university studies, or a similar educational pathway; however, candidates with a genuine passion for IT and a strong desire to learn and develop their technical skills will also be considered.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365, including standard desktop applications.
- Experience managing users and groups within Active Directory desirable.
- Installing new software and hardware (laptops, printers, workstations, etc.).
- Troubleshooting 1st line VPN, and networking issues.
- Working knowledge of MDM (mobile device management) software desirable.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within a dynamic environment.

In this role you will work with the Product team, Infrastructure team, and QA team, to produce highly maintainable, efficient, and highly reliable code. Your goal will be to develop software, including webapps and desktop, which handle large amount data to trade on, monitor, and control a highly efficient technology used by several markets around the world, including ourselves.
• Designs, codes, tests, integrates, and documents scalable front-end applications and APIs.
• Collaborates with UX designers to translate wireframes and mock-ups into high-quality, responsive applications.
• Provides technical leadership to more junior employees and other teams.
• Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in internal review of software components and systems.

The primary responsibility of the role is to work within the QA team and liaise with the Development and Operations Groups as a systems tester ensuring that the Aquis releases, upgrades and bespoke projects are functionally tested to a high standard ensuring a reliable and quality product is delivered to our clients.
