Job Title: Support Analyst

Location: Paris (with visits to London where necessary)

Aquis Exchange PLC (Aquis) is an independent pan-European MTF, trading across 15 European markets and competing directly with incumbent national stock exchanges and Cboe. It is regulated by the FCA. The company has increased competition in the European exchange market; introducing innovative ideas to exchange technology, business practices and service levels and lowering trading costs for market participants. The company currently specialises in equities but intends to broaden the product specifications in the future.

The principal differentiators are the market structure, subscription pricing model, quality of the technology and breadth of product offering. In establishing a new innovative alternative exchange Aquis offers significant benefits to market participants and they are supportive of Aquis’s business model. Overview of the role:

The primary responsibilities of the Support Analyst will be maintaining and running the Aquis and Aquis client exchange platforms.

Aquis is a growing business and this list of exchanges which the Exchange Operations Team supports may grow in the future.

The operations team currently work a weekly shift rota covering the hours 07:00-18:00. There may also be some evening and weekend work.

Primary Functions:

  • Responsible, along with other operational team members, for the day-to-day running and maintenance of the Aquis
  • Providing first line support, answering phone calls and monitoring help desk systems, dealing with basic issues and escalating other calls to the appropriate person.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Performing troubleshooting and collection of information for effective internal escalation
  • Maintain security reference data for the admissions/withdrawals/amends/edits of securities across all
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge base and
  • Work with other departments (Compliance, Surveillance, Infrastructure and Sales) to ensure appropriately monitored live operations of all platforms
  • Raise and deploy changes to support the day to day running of multiple exchange
  • Compile outage reports for any production outages which occur on the operated platforms once the outage has been rectified
  • Ensure processes are streamlined
  • Ensure process maps are followed to reduce
  • Work with teams internally to streamline and enhance operational tool functionality and capture requirements for future

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Degree level qualification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to a non-technical audience
  • Confidence to take inbound calls and make outbound calls
  • Fluent in French and English


  • Experience using Unix/Linux servers
  • Previous use of GIT version control or similar
  • Scripting experience e.g. bash/shell, python or similar
  • Exposure to UK and EU equity markets
  • Ability to write SQL queries and a strong understanding of relational databases

Aquis Exchange est un groupe de services financiers et boursiers, qui gère une plateforme de trading électronique sur actions européennes (Aquis Exchange), un marché primaire pour valeurs de croissance (Aquis Stock Exchange) et commercialise des logiciels boursiers (Aquis Technologies).

Aquis Exchange est supervisé par le « Financial Conduct Authority » au Royaume Uni et par l’AMF en France, et habilité à exploiter un Système Multilatéral de Négociation sur actions européennes dans les 2 juridictions. Aquis propose un carnet d’ordre garantissant la transparence des ordres et des transactions, et qui proscrit les ordres pour compte propres « agressifs », conduisant ainsi à une moindre toxicité et un « signal » de marché moindre que sur les autres plateformes de trading européennes. Selon diverses études indépendantes, les ordres exécutés sur Aquis présentent une probabilité moindre d’entrainer des mouvements de prix (de décalage de prix). Aquis s’appuie sur un modèle de facturation par abonnements selon lequel les adhérents sont facturés en fonction des volumes traités et non selon les % de transactions.

Présentation Générale du poste

La responsabilité principale du service exploitation d’opérations des marchés et les principales responsabilités de l'analyste de support seront la maintenance et l'exploitation des plateformes trading de Aquis.

Aquis est une entreprise en pleine croissance et la liste des marchés couverts par l'équipe d’exploitation pourrait être étendue à l'avenir.

L'équipe d'exploitation travaille actuellement selon une rotation hebdomadaire couvrant la plage horaire 07h00 à 18h00. Exceptionnellement, l’équipe peut être amenée à travailler le soir et le week-end si la situation l’exige

Rôle et Responsabilités

  • Responsable avec les autres membres de l'équipe exploitation, de la gestion et de la maintenance quotidienne des plateformes Aquis.
  • Fournir une assistance de premier niveau, répondre aux appels téléphoniques et surveiller les systèmes du centre d'assistance, traiter les problèmes de base et transmettre les autres appels à la personne appropriée.
  • Maintenir un niveau élevé de service client pour toutes les demandes d'assistance
  • Effectuer le dépannage et la collecte d'informations pour une remontée en interne efficace
  • Mise à jour des référentiels instruments concernant les admissions / retraits / modifications de titres sur toutes les plateformes.
  • Maintenir et améliorer la base de connaissances et la documentation.
  • Travailler en liaison avec d'autres départements (Conformité, Surveillance, Infrastructure et Ventes) pour assurer une surveillance en temps réel efficace opérations sur toutes les plateformes
