Directorate Change
Adnams plc (the "Company") announces the following changes to its Board of Directors.
Retirement of Non-Executive Directors
Michael Guy Heald
Guy Heald intends to retire as a non-executive director of the Company at the Company's annual general meeting this year. Guy joined the Board in April 2015 and is a long-term supporter of the Company. His family has been involved with Adnams since its very early days and is a major shareholder. Guy has suggested that he be succeeded by his son, Andrew Heald, and the Board have agreed to this seeing it as the natural succession of a major stakeholder in the Company.
Dr. Andy Wood OBE, Chief Executive said:
"We would like to thank Guy and his family for their longstanding support as shareholders and more recently as a Board member underpinning our long-term approach to business. The Company wishes Guy the very best for the future and we are sure he will continue to take a keen interest in the Company's journey going forward."
Guy Heald said:
"It has been a pleasure to be able to support Adnams as both a shareholder and a director over the years and although I feel it is now time for me to retire as a director, I will continue to be a dedicated long term shareholder."
Nicola Dulieu
In accordance with good corporate governance, Nicola Dulieu intends to retire as a non-executive director of the Company at the Company's annual general meeting and, having then been in office for over nine years, will not be offering herself for reappointment.
Dr. Andy Wood OBE, Chief Executive said:
"Nicky joined the Adnams Board in May 2014 and has provided invaluable support to the Company during her tenure, both as a non-executive director and as Chair of the Company's Remuneration Committee. The Company wishes her health, happiness and success in the future."
Nicky Dulieu said:
"It has been a pleasure to be able to support Adnams over the last nine years and I wish the Company every success going forward."
Appointment of Non-Executive Directors
Sacha Berendji
Sacha Berendji has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 3 February 2023. Sacha will also become a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee with a view to taking on the Chairmanship of the Audit Committee post completion of the Company's non-executive director induction process. Sacha is currently Operations Director at M&S.

Andrew Heald
Andrew Heald's appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the Company will be proposed at the Company's annual general meeting. Andrew currently holds several other directorships including being a director of Fisher Gin and Hotel Folk.
Andrew has extensive experience in hospitality and distilling and brings complementary skills and experience to the Board, having been involved with Fisher Gin and Hotel Folk for many years.
