Aquis Exchange PLC, the exchange services group, is pleased to announce its intention to apply for admission of the Group to trading on the Apex Segment of the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market (“AQSE Growth Market”). Aquis’ shares will continue to trade on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange plc to satisfy certain regulatory requirements.
The Group is targeting admission to the AQSE Growth Market on 29 March 2022 (“Admission”).
Aquis continues to build momentum across all areas of its activities and the dual listing on the AQSE Growth Market is a logical step in the Group’s progression and a tangible demonstration of confidence in that market. As the AQSE Growth Market is a recognised stock exchange and recognised growth market (like AIM), Aquis’ securities on the AQSE Growth Market will continue to be qualifying investments for ISAs, exempt from SDRT and are eligible for relief from inheritance tax.
Aquis is also pleased to announce that it has partnered with VSA Capital Limited who have created an index of stocks listed on the AQSE Growth Market (“the Index”). The Index will incorporate all of the equities within the Apex segment of the AQSE Growth Market and will be weighted by market capitalization. It will be known as the VSA Capital AQSE Apex Index. This will be launched shortly and will help to raise the profile of the exchange and that of the constituent companies, improving transparency and becoming a reliable barometer of performance over time. Indices are a major part of the investment landscape and the launch will mark another milestone in the development of the AQSE.

Alasdair Haynes, CEO of Aquis Exchange PLC, said:

“The Aquis Stock Exchange has been transformed over the past two years to make its rules more appropriate for growth stocks, to boost liquidity and to encourage more retail investors into the market. In addition, following the recent changes in the minimum entry criteria to the London Stock Exchange Main Market, the Aquis Growth Market is now even more of a serious alternative for emerging companies seeking to raise capital and is positioned as the home of growth companies. It is logical therefore for Aquis to be on our home market”.

Notes to editors

Aquis Exchange is authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and France's Autorité des Marchés Financiers to operate Multilateral Trading Facility businesses in the UK and in EU27 respectively. Aquis operates a lit order book and does not allow aggressive non-client proprietary trading, which has resulted in lower toxicity and signalling risk on Aquis than other trading venues in Europe. According to independent studies, trades on Aquis are less likely to lead to price movement than on other lit markets. Aquis uses a subscription pricing model which works by charging users according to the message traffic they generate, rather than a percentage of the value of each stock that they trade.
Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE) is a stock market providing primary and secondary markets for equity and debt products. It is authorised as a Recognised Investment Exchange, which allows it to operate a regulated listings venue.
Aquis Technologies is the software and technology division of Aquis Exchange PLC. It creates and licenses cutting-edge, cost-effective matching engine and trade surveillance technology for banks, brokers, investment firms and exchanges.
Aquis Exchange PLC (AQX.L) is listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the LSE (AIM) market. For more information, please go to www.aquis.eu.
