Equipmake announced it has supplied an advanced e-drivetrain system for a world-first long-range electric flying boat. For the project, Equipmake designed, developed, and manufactured a fully electric drivetrain, featuring a specially adapted version of its lightweight, power dense, high-performance motor and gearbox, and an Equipmake inverter and custom battery pack. The project is the first time Equipmake's electrification products and expertise have been applied to the rapidly growing electric marine market, which is estimated to be worth ~$16.6 billion by 2030. Following the success of the project, Equipmake and BAR Technologies are exploring further opportunities to collaborate and increase the potential market for Equipmake's products in BAR Technologies' systems. The company also announced a trading update in line with expectations for the year ended 31 May 2023. Revenue expected to be £5.1m (FY2022: £3.7m) with commercial and production contracts representing 97.7% of total revenue (FY2022: 72.1%), demonstrating the business' ability to realise commercial returns from its portfolio of know-how and IP. Guanajuato Silver Company announced the commencement of a high-grade pillar exploitation program at the Company's 100% owned Valenciana Mines Complex ("VMC") in Guanajuato, Mexico. James Anderson, CEO & Chairman, said, "After over 450 years of near-continuous production as one of the most significant silver mines in world history, the Valenciana Mines Complex retains hundreds of underground pillars that exhibit some of the highest silver grades within the entire Guanajuato mining district. Immediately following our acquisition of Valenciana, we recognized the substantial mineralized potential available to us contained within the old workings that were left behind by previous operators. Today, we are announcing the commencement of a pillar recovery program, as we begin extracting mineralized material from what has been dubbed the "La Patilla" pillar.” Read more…
EDX Medical Group announced that Erik Jensen will be joining the international senior management team of the company as Commercial Director, UK & Northern Europe. Erik will be based in the markets supported by colleagues at the Company's Head Office in Cambridge, UK. Dr Mike Hudson, Chief Executive of EDX Medical Group PLC, said: "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Erik to EDX and particularly to be able to work with him to establish commercial operations in the UK and his home territory in the Nordic region.
