Appointment of Director

 

First Sentinel Plc ("First Sentinel" or the "Company") (NEX: FSEN), is pleased to announce that Colin Maltby has been appointed to the board of First Sentinel as an Executive Director. 

 

Colin is a qualified banker and solicitor with over 20 years' experience of corporate finance and commercial work. He qualified as a solicitor with Theodore Goddard (now Addleshaw Goddard) and went on to become a partner with Blake Lapthorn LLP (now Blake Morgan). Colin has worked in-house with Coutts & Co and UBS AG, as well as in businesses ranging from theatre production to software companies, giving him first-hand experience of life in business. He currently runs First Sentinel Law offering corporate and commercial advice to a broad range of clients.

Investment of Capital - Union Jack Oil Plc (AIM: UJO)

 

Union Jack Oil plc is an AIM-traded onshore oil and gas exploration company with a focus on drilling, development and investment opportunities in the United Kingdom hydrocarbon sector.  The company currently has interests in six licences in the East Midlands Basin and one licence in the Weald Basin.

On 5 March 2018, Union Jack Oil Plc announced a placing and subscription to raise £1.25m at a price of 0.085p per share.  First Sentinel plc subscribed £43,500 for 51,176,470 shares. 

 

Issue of Shares

In addition and further to the announcement on 20 March 2018, the Company has issued a further 345,722 new shares at a price of 13p per share to raise £44,944 for working capital purposes.

 

Following the Share Issue, the Company has 14,696,770 Ordinary Shares in issue, each share carrying the right to one vote.  The Ordinary Shares to be issued pursuant to the Share Issue will rank pari passu with existing Ordinary Shares.

 

The above figure of 14,696,770 should be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
