Chapel Down, England's leading and largest wine maker, announces that Rob Smith, Chief Financial Officer of the Company, has today purchased 724,503 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 25.5 pence per Ordinary Share.

Following the above purchase, Rob Smith has a total beneficial holding of 1,592,538 Ordinary Shares (which includes shares held by his wife), representing approximately 1.0% of the Company's issued share capital.
