DRILLING COMMENCES AT WISHBONE II

 

Queensland, Australia

 

Wishbone Gold Plc (AIM: WSBN, AQSE: WSBN), is pleased to announce that its maiden drill program has started on its 100% owned Wishbone II Gold-Copper Project in Northern Queensland.

 

The drill program consists of 2,000m of RC holes to test the numerous gold and copper surface anomalies at depth and look for continuous underground structures.

 

Wishbone's Queensland exploration properties are situated in the highly prospective Charters Towers-Ravenswood district in north Queensland's premier gold province. They consist of 54 sub-blocks amounting to 174 km2 of wholly owned licences and located only 10km from the 5 million ounce Ravenswood gold mine.

 

Richard Poulden, Wishbone Gold's Chairman, commented, "We are thrilled to finally start drilling on Wishbone's Queensland properties. It has been a long road to get here, and we will be excited to see the results. As previously announced, drilling equipment is also currently being mobilised to site in Western Australia.
